President's Day Holiday

Jake and Sam spent the day working on
Sam's Leather merit badge. Jake
made a sheath for his knife and Sam
made a sheath for his pocket knife.
We have to Thank Randall Yearout
(Piper's Dad) for giving us some tools
this year at Christmas. Without these
tools, Sam and Jake wouldn't have been
able to make such cool designs. I don't
know if you can see very well but Sam
made an Eagle on his Sheath. I was very
impressed. But that is not hard since I am
his mother. Later that day we took the
kids to see the "Body Works" exhibit at
the Science Center. It was a very cool
display of the human anatomy. I just hope I
look that good with all my skin peeled off.
Just kidding. Anyways, I learned quite
alot and it was cool to see everything up
close and personal.

Liz's first perm
Liz wanted to get highlights in her hair but I thought she was too young.
So I decided to let her get a perm instead. Doesn't she look cute?
I forgot to tell her that perms kind of sting, and that they are stinky.
But after all was said and done I think she was glad that she had it done. And the cute hair stylist behind Liz is our cute friend Jessica!!! She is the best!

An Apology
For all those who have gotten wierd relpies on their blog from my children, I do apologize. I thought it would be cute and told them how to log in under my name. Then I went back to the blogs that they replied to and saw all the trash talk. I want you to know that I did remind them that if they couldn't say anything nice then don't say anything at all...........

Liz and Mom's birthday
Tradition

Liz and I on her birthday last year went to
my friend Tiffany's work (Beauty Brands)
and had a pedicure and manicure. We had
such a fun time that we decided to do it every
year on each of our birthday. So as you see from
above we had a great time again this time on my
birthday. I don't get pedicures very often. I
forgot how much I love them!!!

Flowers in February??????
These pictures are for all the family members
who live in states where is still freezing, or less
in most cases. We planted flowers today. As
you can see the date at the bottom of the pictures.
We are also going to be trying our hand at planting
a garden in containers. The kids above planted
sugar peas. We will also be planting spinach, tomatos
green peppers, basil, chives, dill, and oregano. And if
I have room, I may try and grow cucumbers on a
trellis just to see if I can do it. So our summers
may be hot but atleast we can enjoy the winters.
We will just be inside when you guys start
going outside!!!!!!!
